The United States is one of the 28 member states of the Board of Peace, which Resolution 2803 welcomed as Gaza's transitional administration. The Board's chairman is President Trump, who signed its Charter, and the stabilisation force it authorises is under US unified command.
Board of Peace has as a member The United States and the Levant. A directional arrangement: the two parties do not hold the same position in it. Authored once and read from both ends.

Summary
The Board of Peace was welcomed by Resolution 2803 as a transitional administration with international legal personality. Its founding Charter was signed on 16 January 2026 by "its Chairman, President Trump", and launched at Davos on 22 January, when the Board became an international organisation; its report to the Council lists 28 states whose heads of state are members, the United States among them. The US is also one of the four guarantors of the Gaza ceasefire, and the International Stabilization Force operates "under the unified command of the United States" through Maj. Gen. Jasper Jeffers. The White House named the Board's founding executive board, among them the Secretary of State and two US envoys, on 16 January 2026.
Why it matters
The body administering Gaza's transition is chaired by the president of the state that brokered the ceasefire, guarantees it and supplies Israel. That concentration is the defining feature of Gaza's post-war governance; the Board's first report reached the Council as a letter from the US mission.
