AssessmentHigh confidence

Context, not targeting. A system record names published markers and published operators and states dependencies at the level a published institution does. It carries no facility-level capacity, vulnerability, protection or repair detail; the schema has no field for any of it.

Locator — land outline from Natural Earth 110m (public domain); 10 places this record names, at the coordinates the module already publishes. No routes, boundaries, control or activity are drawn.

What this system is

Armenia's external access runs through two open borders and two closed ones; the Middle Corridor carries east–west trade transit around Russia; and the proposed TRIPP route across Syunik is the settlement's most contested piece of infrastructure. Each is a logistics record; this is the system they belong to.

The physical form of the settlement: whether the routes in the agreements are built, opened and used is the module's measure of whether the arrangement holds.

The system

Overview
Three logistics records describe the system: Armenian external access (two borders open, two closed, assessed 25 September 2026), the Middle Corridor as east–west trade transit, and the TRIPP route — the proposed Syunik transit route the settlement's implementation Watch question follows. The markers are the corridors themselves, the Syunik and Nakhchivan zones, and the Agarak, Margara and Upper Lars crossings. The closed-borders chain carries what closure does to the Armenian economy; the transit- concentration chain carries what one east–west route means for the region.
Current state · as of 2026-09-25
Armenian access: two borders open, two closed, as of 25 September 2026. TRIPP: a proposed route whose implementation stage the Watch question records. The Middle Corridor record was last assessed in August 2026.

Dependencies and constraints

Each marked documented (a published source states it) or assessed (Vigil infers it and says so). The two are never drawn the same way.

Transmission chains through this system

Each step carries its own basis grade — Confirmed, Plausible exposure, Unconfirmed scenario — and a chain can only weaken from left to right.
