What happened
Israel and Lebanon sign a Trilateral Framework in Washington "with the full support of the United States". It declares an intent to end the conflict and formally conclude any state of war, and sets a "reciprocal, sequenced process": the Lebanese army restores sovereign authority pending verified disarmament of non-state armed groups, enabling the IDF to redeploy progressively out of Lebanon, zone by zone, starting from two initial pilot zones. It commits to a military coordination group with US participation, which the US Secretary of State's statement names the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon. A security annex is to complement it.
It is the instrument that now governs the Israel–Lebanon front, and it sets no withdrawal timeline and no end date. It does not mention Resolution 1701, UNIFIL, the Security Council, the Blue Line or the Litani, and contains no ceasefire terms. The security annex has not been published and is known only from a leaked text. Hezbollah is not bound, and its leader is reported to have called the framework "null and void".
