美國與法國宣布以色列與黎巴嫩之間停止敵對行動，自2024年11月27日04:00起生效；其十三段的文本作為S/2024/870的附件分發給安理會。黎巴嫩承諾防止真主黨及其他武裝團體發動攻擊，並將武器限定於所列的官方部隊，「從」利塔尼河以南地區「開始」；以色列須在黎巴嫩軍隊部署的同時，於60天內撤至藍線以南，目標是在南部部署10,000名兵力。由美國擔任主席、法國、聯合國駐黎巴嫩臨時部隊、以色列與黎巴嫩參與的監督機制負責監督。真主黨並非當事方。
It set the terms — state monopoly of arms, phased withdrawal, a US-chaired monitor — that the 2025 Lebanese cabinet decisions and the 2026 instruments carried forward. Whether its disarmament obligation covers all of Lebanon is disputed between Israel and Hezbollah. It was overtaken by the 2026 war without formal termination; the UN records that the Mechanism suspended its meetings on 18 March 2026.
