Record
Conflict relevance
This is the catalogue's single record for this system. It is relevant to the module below; each module's Force Atlas shows how it is used there.
Operators
Iran and the Gulf: Shore batteries and craft of both Iranian navies, with the Guard Navy's coastal units the principal holders. · Ansar Allah (Houthi movement): Derivatives are widely reported in the Houthi coastal force and were used against shipping from 2023; the extent of supply as against local assembly is disputed.
Battlefield role
Sea denial from the coast: holding the strait and the Gulf's approaches at risk without needing a fleet to do it.
Strengths
Coastal launchers along a shore that overlooks every lane in the strait, domestic production, and a family that has been diversified into ship-launched and ballistic variants.
Limitations
Fixed and mobile coastal sites are targetable, and were among the classes of target United States strikes in 2026 are reported to have concentrated on; the missiles have been used far more often as a threat priced by insurers than as weapons fired. Sites, numbers and coverage are not recorded.
Campaign relevance
Derived: a participant organisation in these campaigns carries a typed equipment association with this system. That is not the same as documented use of the system in the campaign itself.

via IRGC Navy (Documented)
Documented conflict use
The 2006 hit on an Israeli corvette by Hezbollah with a C-802 derivative is the family's documented combat use; Houthi anti-ship launches against merchant shipping from late 2023 are the most recent.
