The Lebanese army deploys into the first pilot zones after Israeli withdrawal

20 – 21 Jul 2026

What happened

According to press reports, Israel withdraws from areas around Froun and Srifa, then Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh, and the Lebanese army deploys into them. The Framework records two initial zones agreed by the two armies without naming them; no further zone is reported after July.

The only observed implementation of the framework's withdrawal-for-deployment sequence so far, and therefore the module's baseline for whether that sequence moves.
