What happened
The IDF declares a "forward defence line" in southern Lebanon, which Israel also calls the "Yellow Line". According to the UN Secretary-General's report, an IDF map of 19 April shows an area up to 10 km north of the Blue Line, including some territory north of the Litani and some 55 Lebanese villages, and a band at sea north of the agreed maritime border; a June map shows it expanded. Israel says it has no territorial ambitions in Lebanon.
Israel's presence in Lebanon grew from five positions to a zone of tens of villages, and its reduction is now what the Trilateral Framework's withdrawal-after-disarmament sequence is about. The module never draws the line, which has no agreed geometry, and keeps it distinct from the Gaza Yellow Line.
