The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Turkish President and the Pakistani Prime Minister sign a joint defence agreement at a summit in Mecca. Reporting across independent outlets describes an undertaking that an armed attack on any one of the three is to be regarded as an attack on them all. Turkish officials stated publicly that the pact is not directed at any specific party and is open to other states.
