Notable history

The Israeli navy is built around missile corvettes, fast attack craft and a submarine flotilla, on two coasts joined only by the Suez Canal. Its Mediterranean task since the 2010s has been the protection of the offshore gas fields; its Red Sea task became the Houthi campaign from late 2023, when Eilat's port traffic collapsed under attack. Its significance to this module is the submarine arm: the German-built Dolphin boats, the sixth and last of which was delivered in 2026, are widely assessed to carry Israel's sea-based strategic capability, and one of them surfaced deliberately off Eilat in July 2026 in a signal read across the region. The service's other operations in the current war are not established in anything this module has read.

Strengths

A survivable long-range capability no other navy in the module has, modern surface combatants and a decade of real gas-field defence.

Limitations

Two coasts that cannot reinforce each other, a Red Sea port that the Houthi campaign has shown to be closable, and a submarine arm whose most important attribute is the one nobody can verify. No hulls, dispositions or operations are recorded.
