What happened

Israel begins strikes on Iran on 13 June 2025; the United States strikes three nuclear facilities on 22 June; a ceasefire is announced on 24 June.

A separate, concluded conflict — not the opening of the present one. It established direct state-on-state exchange as the pattern, and it is the point after which the International Atomic Energy Agency lost access to the sites it had been verifying.
