What this organisation is
SOCAR is the state's instrument in the export system that gives Azerbaijan its standing beyond the region. It holds shares in the Azeri–Chirag–Deepwater Gunashli and Shah Deniz production consortia and in the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline, which bp operates; it took over the technical operation of the South Caucasus Pipeline from bp under the pipeline owners' 2013 agreement, through SOCAR Midstream Operations; and it is the majority shareholder and operator of the Trans-Anatolian pipeline that carries Shah Deniz gas across Türkiye toward Europe. The module's logistics record describes the system the company sits in: a route built to avoid Russian and Iranian territory, interrupted once by the 2008 war in the transit state, and repriced politically after 2022 as European buyers sought non-Russian gas.
The organisation through which the Azerbaijani state owns, and in part operates, the corridor whose political value the module's energy-system record describes — the reason Baku's standing in Brussels predates and outlasts the Karabakh file.

Each is a marker the module already publishes; the relationship is this record’s own claim, with its own grade and source.
- Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan energy corridorCorridor · supply & trade artery
The module's one corridor marker stands for the oil line and the gas line beside it. SOCAR operates the gas line's Azerbaijani and Georgian segment technically through SOCAR Midstream Operations and the Turkish onward pipeline (TANAP) as majority shareholder; the oil line is operated by bp, in which SOCAR is a shareholder.

What remains unknown
- No dated claim ladder is authored: the company's expansion announcements and targets for Southern Gas Corridor volumes were not read in this pass, and the logistics record's own watch item — contracts, not announcements — is the test any such claim would have to meet.
- Shareholdings in the corridor's segments have changed over time and differ between published accounts; this record names the operating roles and carries no percentage.
- Segment capacities, throughput by segment and security arrangements are deliberately not published by this module.
