Broad area of activity
Kherson oblast in 2022, Bakhmut in 2023, the Kupiansk and Lyman sectors in 2024; corps sectors since. No current disposition is authored.
Notable history
Raised in July 2016 as an infantry brigade of the Ground Forces' reserve corps, it was one of the formations that held Kherson oblast's northern fringe in spring 2022 and pushed the line back village by village through the summer, earning the honorific "Inhulets". Re-equipped as a mechanized brigade, it went to Bakhmut in 2023, to the defence of Kupiansk in January 2024 and to the Lyman sector that spring. In July 2025 it was reported the first of the line brigades to join the new 3rd Army Corps, and its subsequent public rebranding under a new commander is recorded by the same compilation.
Strengths
A record on three fronts and the staff, training and recruitment pipeline of the corps it joined, built around one of the force's strongest brigades.
Limitations
A reserve-infantry origin whose re-roling was done under fire, and the attrition of three years in the war's hardest sectors.
