- Notable history
- Announced by the National Guard on 15 April 2025 alongside the Azov-built 1st Corps, as the Guard's share of Ukraine's shift from brigade-centric command to army corps. The Ministry of Internal Affairs published the two corps' structures three days later, placing the Khartiia and Rubizh brigades in this one with several other Guard brigades. The corps took its name and its commander from the Kharkiv-raised 13th Brigade, and its creation gave the Guard a second formation able to hold a sector under the army's operational control rather than lending brigades.
