Identity provenance
Service ensign: St Andrew's ensign — naval ensign of the Russian Federation — carried by Navy, not issued to this record. Drawn by Vigil to the geometry the 1992 readoption specifies — white field, blue saltire, band width one tenth of the fly, 2:3. Drawn rather than supplied because this geometry is fully specified; no image file is involved in this record.
State affiliation: Russia.
The smaller square mark is a Vigil category device, drawn from this record’s own domain, echelon and role — not an official insignia.

- Broad area of activity
- The southern Donetsk axis — Vuhledar in 2022–23 — and adjacent sectors since. No current disposition is authored.
- Notable history
- The Kamchatka marine brigade, part of the Pacific Fleet's north-eastern grouping, was sent west in 2022 and became, with the 155th, the formation most associated with the assaults on Vuhledar — a year of attacks across open ground toward a fortified town that public reporting and independent loss counts documented as among the costliest Russian operations of the war, and that were assessed publicly as having consumed most of the brigade's original personnel. It was reconstituted and kept on the southern axis; whether it follows the 155th into divisional expansion is reported as likely but not announced.
- Strengths
- Priority refit as a fleet formation and a brigade identity kept through reconstitution.
- Limitations
- The Vuhledar assaults consumed its experienced core; each rebuilding cycle dilutes further; and it fights on land further from its fleet than any formation in this atlas.
