In brief

Israel's air service, in this module the force that destroyed most of Syria's strategic weapons and air defences in the days after Damascus fell in December 2024 and has struck inside Syria since, at a cadence the module's israeli-strikes series records.

Notable history
In the days after the fall of the Assad government on 8 December 2024 the air force struck across Syria, destroying most of the former state's strategic weapons, air defences, aircraft and naval vessels by Israel's own account, and it has struck inside Syria repeatedly since, including Damascus during the July 2025 Sweida violence. The module counts those strikes as a Tempo series and reads them against the security negotiation with Damascus that opened in January 2026.
Strengths
Air superiority over Syria that no Syrian force contests, which is the material basis of the Israeli posture the module records on the ground.
Limitations
Strikes are announced by the IDF in bundled counts and reported by Syrian and other sources with different totals, so the series is a lower bound; the strikes have not produced the security arrangement Israel seeks from Damascus. Nothing here describes bases, numbers or targeting.
