- 廣泛活動地區
- Peacetime: Khankala, Chechnya. Wartime: the Zaporizhzhia front — the Robotyne–Verbove sector in 2023 — and adjacent southern sectors since, by ISW's tracking. No current disposition is authored.
- 重要歷史
- The division that garrisoned Chechnya after the second war there, reduced to brigades in the 2009 reform and re-formed in late 2016 — the ministry announced its reconstitution from three motor-rifle brigades — as the 58th Army's divisional formation. Its war was the 2023 defence: with the army's other formations it held the fortified belts south of Orikhiv against the Ukrainian offensive at Robotyne and Verbove, the most consequential Russian defensive success of the war, and absorbed the attrition that the army's own commander complained of publicly that July. ISW has tracked it on southern sectors since.
- 優勢
- A proven 2023 defensive record within prepared fortifications, a divisional artillery and engineering structure, and a garrison region with its own recruitment base.
- 限制
- The 2023 defence consumed the division heavily, as the army's public command friction attested; its regiments have been reconstituted since; nothing below the division is authored.
