廈門市政府於2026年8月18日宣布十二項深化兩岸交流的措施，其中數項直接針對金門 — 金門位於近岸數公里處，由臺灣管轄。大部分措施涉及貿易、觀光、文化交流與支持臺灣企業，包括一個臺灣農漁產品集散中心。具實質意義的是基礎設施措施：加速擬議中廈金大橋廈門段的建設、研究金門段、研議兩地之間的電力聯網，以及推進可支援未來連接的燃氣基礎設施。這些措施緊隨2026年4月一套推動兩岸通水、通電、通氣、通橋的方案；對此，臺北的大陸委員會回應稱，此類計畫涉及國家安全、邊境管制與政府權限，不能單方面決定。
Almost everything this module records about cross-strait pressure is coercive.
