It kept the 203 mm 2S7 self-propelled guns of the Soviet inheritance in service when few armies had, and after 2022 became the only Ukrainian formation publicly documented operating both those and the German PzH 2000 — the ends of a fifty-year technological span in one brigade, sustained by American 203 mm ammunition supplied for the purpose.
