- The Azerbaijani air force holds the manned fleet — Soviet-era MiG-29 and Su-25 aircraft, with a JF-17 order from Pakistan reported — and the ground-based air defence built on Israeli Barak-8 and Russian S-300 systems; but the capability that made the service matter is unmanned. Turkish Bayraktar TB2s and Israeli Harop loitering munitions, integrated into a reconnaissance-strike system over a decade of procurement, found and destroyed Armenian air defences, artillery and armour in 2020 in the campaign that decided the war, and heavy Akinci drones have followed from 2023. Where those systems sit organisationally — in the air force, in a separate unmanned command, or divided — is not published by Azerbaijan, and this record files them with the air force as compiled references do while stating that the arrangement is reported.

L’Azerbaïdjan lance une offensive de grande ampleur et l’emporte en 44 jours — drones turcs Bayraktar TB2, munitions rôdeuses israéliennes et artillerie sont concentrés contre des défenses arméniennes retranchées, jusqu’à la chute de Shusha (Shushi).
