In brief

The land service of the Polish Armed Forces, one of the five services the armed forces’ portal lists on its front page. Its own pages describe arms of service — armoured and mechanised, air-mobile, missile and artillery and the rest — and name no division or brigade, which is why the largest army on the flank has no formation beneath it in this atlas.

Broad area of activity
Polish territory, from the Suwałki ground to the Oder; the ministry publishes no area of responsibility below the state.
Notable history
The service’s own command was folded into the General Command of the branches in the 2014 consolidation, where the ministry’s English page still lists a Land Forces inspectorate; the ministry’s 2018 reform statement described separating a land-forces command back out at a later stage, which no gov.pl page read publishes as enacted. The service has been the principal recipient of Poland’s post-2022 re-equipment, which its equipment section records by type — Leopard 2 and K2 among them — without numbers.
Strengths
Scale and position, neither of which a Polish page needs to state for the reader to see: the land service is the mass on the corridor every reinforcement of the Baltic states must cross, and its arms of service as published — armoured and mechanised, air-mobile, missile and artillery, air defence, engineer, chemical and signals — are the full combined-arms set.
Limitations
No Polish government page read names a division or a brigade of this service, so the tree ends here and the record can say nothing about how the mass is organised beneath the service. The equipment edge carries a type the service publishes and no quantity, unit or allocation; the K2 is unlinked because the catalogue lacks it, not because the service does.
