Service ensign: Flag of the Russian Airborne Forces (VDV) — carried by Airborne Forces (VDV), not issued to this record. The service flag of the Airborne Forces, adopted 2004 — a blue and green bicolour charged with the VDV emblem. The design itself is not an object of copyright: Article 1259(6) of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation excludes official symbols and signs. The file shipped is the Wikimedia Commons SVG "Flag of the Russian Airborne Troops.svg", released under PD-RU-exempt on that basis, so no attribution or share-alike obligation attaches. - 部分
- 廣泛活動地區
- The Kyiv axis in 2022; Kherson; the Zaporizhzhia and eastern axes since.
- 重要歷史
- The Pskov division — the most continuously employed VDV formation of the war. Investigative reporting publicly placed its units in the Kyiv-axis occupation zone around Bucha in 2022; it has since fought as priority line assault infantry on successive axes.
- 優勢
- Priority recruitment and refit; near-continuous employment keeps it the most experienced formation of its branch.
- 限制
- Repeated attrition cycles; light armour in a war that punishes it; employment as ordinary assault infantry blunts its specialised value.
