- 廣泛活動地區
- The Luhansk oblast fronts, 2014–2022; the successor army fights on the same axis.
- 重要歷史
- Built from 2014 around the Luhansk separatist formations under de facto Russian direction, the smaller and less publicised of the two proxy corps, and like its Donetsk counterpart filled by forced local mobilisation in 2022 for the Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk battles. After the September 2022 annexation it was folded into the regular Russian military under the Southern Military District's 8th Army, and in 2024 was reported re-formed as the 3rd Combined Arms Army, carrying the honorifics of the 2022 Luhansk fighting. The corps survives as lineage: the successor army inherited its manpower and positions.
- 優勢
- Eight years of positional familiarity on the Luhansk front and a local manpower base, both inherited by its successor.
- 限制
- Chronically under-equipped relative to regular formations and manned by forced mobilisation in 2022, which public reporting documented; it is history, not structure, and the successor is not yet a record here.
