概要
The European special-operations task force established in March 2020 under French command within Barkhane to advise, assist and accompany Malian units in the Liptako; it reached initial capability in July 2020, drew on a dozen European contributors, and ended on 30 June 2022 with the French withdrawal from Mali.

- Announced in Pau in January 2020 as France sought to Europeanise the Sahel effort, Takuba was established on 27 March 2020 by a joint declaration of European defence ministers and placed under French command inside Barkhane. Its task was narrower than the parent operation's: small teams of European special forces advising, assisting and accompanying Malian light reconnaissance units in combat, so that the Malian army rather than the French would hold the Liptako. It reached initial operating capability in July 2020 with Estonian and Czech teams beside the French, added Swedish, Italian, Danish, Portuguese, Hungarian and other contributions, and by early 2022 counted around nine hundred personnel, nearly half French. The transition's refusal of an electoral timetable, its expulsion of the French ambassador, its demand that Danish troops leave and its turn to Wagner ended the premise: France announced the withdrawal in February 2022 and the task force ended its mission on 30 June 2022 as Barkhane left Mali.

- The one instrument that put European partners in combat roles beside Malian units rather than in training camps, and a model — accompany, not substitute — that its participants judged sound.
- 限制
- Dependent on the host's consent and on Barkhane's logistics and air cover, so that it could not outlast either; too small and too late to change the Liptako's trajectory; and undone by politics in Bamako rather than by anything in the field. A historical record only.
