- 部分
- 廣泛活動地區
- Kidal region above all, with presence in parts of Gao region (Talataye) and Ménaka; the Ifoghas heartland of the Adrar.
- 重要歷史
- Formed on 2 May 2013 by the merger of the High Council of Azawad, created by Mohamed Ag Intalla, son of the Ifoghas amenokal, with the Islamic Movement of Azawad that his brother Alghabass had founded in January 2013 on leaving Ansar Dine days before the French intervention. The mechanism was repositioning: figures who had fought with Ag Ghaly's jihadist movement in 2012 re-entered the political process under a nationalist name, which is why French officials alleged continuing links and why its military chief Cheikh Ag Aoussa, a former senior Ansar Dine commander, remained a point of contention until his death in a car bombing in 2016. The HCUA joined the MNLA and the MAA in the CMA in 2014, signed the 2015 Algiers Agreement, and became the coalition's strongest component in Kidal, where it enforced religious rigorism in local governance. Alghabass Ag Intalla was its secretary-general from July 2014; when the CMA's movements dissolved into the FLA on 30 November 2024 he became the front's leader.
- 優勢
- The Ifoghas aristocracy's standing in Kidal and the Adrar, a leadership with experience on both sides of the jihadist–nationalist line, and the negotiating weight that made it the CMA's centre of gravity.
- 限制
- Its Ansar Dine origins never stopped being held against it, and its Ifoghas base made it a party to the intra-Tuareg rivalry with the Imghad that GATIA embodied. A historical record: its present is the FLA's.
