The Air Force flag — a sky-blue field charged with the service's winged badge around the white sun. Public domain on Commons in its own right; the ROC Ministry of National Defence is recorded as the author of the original design. LEGIBILITY, STATED: the badge is a detailed device and at the 18x12px the formations index renders a mark at it resolves to a pale form on sky blue. It was kept because the FIELD COLOUR carries the identity at that size and the badge resolves properly at the 38x26 and 40x40 the Atlas card and masthead use — the same test the 1MB Iranian service flags failed and were refused on. - One of the four commands the Air Force Command Headquarters says it is composed of, and the one that holds the flying forces. Its defining problem is not combat but tempo. Taiwan's defence ministry publishes daily counts of detected PLA aircraft, and the response to them — scrambles, interceptions, radar tracking — is generated here. That workload consumes airframe hours, crew currency and maintenance capacity continuously, at a rate set by the other side, and it is the clearest example in this module of a cost imposed without a shot being fired.
- Points forts
- An upgraded and increasingly homogeneous fighter fleet with modern radar and missiles, an airborne early-warning component that extends detection beyond the horizon, and several years of accumulated experience in managing sustained interception activity without escalation.
- Limites
- Every structural constraint on this command is geographic: a small island has few airfields, they are all known, and the investment in dispersal, hardening and highway operations follows from that rather than from preference. Sustained grey-zone activity is asymmetric in cost, and the smaller force pays more per sortie flown. Vigil publishes no basing, dispersal, sortie-generation or readiness detail.

Après les exercices d’août 2022, les franchissements de la ligne médiane du détroit de Taïwan par des aéronefs de l’APL deviennent routiniers plutôt qu’exceptionnels, et Pékin rejette publiquement l’existence de la ligne en tant que limite reconnue. Le ministère taïwanais de la Défense continue de signaler les franchissements chaque jour.
