What happened
On 29 September 2026 the Interior Ministry said General Intelligence and Internal Security had arrested three members of a Hezbollah-linked cell in the Yarmouk Basin of western Daraa, near the occupied Golan, and dismantled rocket launchers the cell had been preparing; footage showed 122 mm rockets. The ministry gave only the suspects' initials and named no target; some reporting said the launchers were aimed at Israel. Hezbollah did not comment. The announcement reached the module's record a week late, in the brief of 11 October.
A Syrian authority naming a network tied to Iran's principal partner, in the place where Israel's southern posture says such networks operate. The question on Iran's return counts a network only when a Syrian authority names it; whether a Hezbollah cell is the Iran-linked network that observable reads is an open editorial question, and the record carries the case as movement at the edge of the observable rather than as the observable met. The link is the ministry's and is not independently verified.
