In brief
The Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation, published as the armed forces’ provider of storage, transport and distribution, with a central staff, three regional logistics regiments and a national logistics operations centre that holds the alliance role of Norway’s joint logistics support group. None of them is authored below this record.

- Broad area of activity
- Every base and service location of the armed forces, where the organisation states it is present, delivering ammunition, clothing, fuel, medical supplies and equipment where and when units need them.
- Notable history
- Norway holds military logistics in one joint organisation under the Chief of Defence rather than inside the services, and the published structure of 2025 — a central staff, three regional regiments and a national logistics operations centre — is built for a country whose defence depends on receiving allied forces. The operations centre’s published alliance role as Norway’s joint logistics support group is the institutional hinge for that reception, and the one place in this module where a national logistics body names its NATO function.
- Strengths
- A single published owner for sustainment with a named alliance role. Reception of allied reinforcement through Norwegian ports and airfields is a logistics problem before it is anything else, and Norway publishes the organisation and the centre responsible for it.
- Limitations
- The publication names an organisation and its regiments and stops. Stock levels, depots, prepositioning and the routes of distribution are not published and would be refused; the regiments are not authored; and the joint logistics support group role is recorded in the organisation’s own words, without any inference about what it holds or where.
