Saudi Aramco

The state oil company that operates the East–West pipeline system to Yanbu — the largest of the partial alternatives to the Strait of Hormuz, and a capacity figure rather than a demonstrated sustained rate.

No financials and no forecasts. A record carries what a published source states about an organisation, its published facilities and its dated claims, with each claim kept apart by kind. Nothing here is a view on any company.

What this organisation is

Saudi Aramco operates the kingdom's production, the Abqaiq processing complex, the Ras Tanura terminal on the Gulf and the East–West (Petroline) system that carries crude across the peninsula to Yanbu on the Red Sea. The Petroline carries a roughly 7 million b/d emergency ceiling established in 2019 — never a demonstrated sustained rate — and Aramco announced a ramp to full capacity on 10–11 March 2026. Wartime handling at Yanbu is estimated commercially at about 3 million b/d, of which roughly 2 million goes to Aramco's own Red Sea refineries before export crude can load, and an Iranian drone strike in April 2026 temporarily disabled about 700,000 b/d of it. Every alternative to Hormuz combined is estimated at 3.5 to 5.5 million b/d against a normal strait volume of about 20 million: a capacity comparison, not a measurement of what moved. The Ministry of Energy shut the East–West line as a precaution after a drone attack on 10 September 2026. Reuters reported it restarted at a low rate on 22 September on unnamed sources, and Yanbu loadings were reported resumed between 25 and 28 September on trade sources and tracker data, with throughput estimated at about 2 to 2.65 million b/d by an industry source and Kpler. Neither Aramco nor the ministry had stated a restart, a rate or a damage assessment by 3 October 2026.

The organisation whose system is the module's central bypass number — and the reason that number is a ceiling, not a flow.

Published facilities

Each is a marker the module already publishes; the relationship is this record’s own claim, with its own grade and source.

Dated claims — announced against delivered

Every claim on this record is an announcement or a target. Nothing here is recorded as commissioned or delivered.

ما لا يزال مجهولًا

  • No published sustained throughput for the East–West system under wartime conditions was read; the module carries the ceiling and the commercial estimate of Yanbu handling, labelled as such.
  • No Aramco or ministry statement of the September restart, its rate or the damage to the pumping stations had been published by 3 October 2026; every figure for the restarted line is a tracker's or an unnamed source's.
