- 廣泛活動地區
- Lisbon, Portugal. No area of responsibility is published on NATO's pages.
- 重要歷史
- NATO's structure page lists it with the early-warning and ISR forces as a specialised body under SACEUR, and its ACO page describes it as a multinational maritime headquarters relocated from Italy to Portugal with thirteen participating countries. It descends, according to secondary reporting, from the Cold War striking force headquarters of the southern region, renamed in 2004; its own history page could not be read, so that lineage is noted rather than asserted.
- 優勢
- A standing multinational maritime headquarters that NATO keeps outside the component-command line, available to lead a larger maritime task force than the standing groups form — which is the role its name describes and the reason it is listed with the alliance-owned forces.
- 限制
- Its seat and its subject lie outside this theatre's geography, and nothing on NATO's pages connects it to the Baltic or the Black Sea. It is carried because it is a published element of the command structure this module reads against, not because any source places it in the theatre. Its own site is closed to tools.
