Istotna historia: The successor of the Soviet air-defence structure around Kyiv, the brigade fought the 2022 missile campaigns on S-300 systems and in 2023 received Patriot, becoming the formation behind the intercepts that changed the air war over the capital: in May 2023 its commander described publicly how the brigade had shot down Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles and repelled the mass raid of 16 May. Since then it has defended the city through every winter strike campaign, and its experience against ballistic targets is among the deepest of any Patriot operator.
