- Istotna historia
- A Soviet field army of the Far East, kept after 1991 as the Primorye command facing China and moved west in 2022 for a war on the other side of the continent. Its brigades were committed on the southern Donetsk axis, where a tank brigade took part in the Vuhledar assaults that became the war's most filmed armoured losses, and remained on that axis through the slow advance of 2024 that ended at Kurakhove — a capture for which the Defence Minister publicly commended the army's brigades. It is the district's only army carried in this module and the clearest case of a peacetime formation used as a source of units for a distant front.
