- From the Volga to western Siberia, including the Urals defence-industrial belt and the Central Asian border. Its formations have fought in Ukraine from the first day. Nothing about dispositions is authored.
- Historique notable
- Created in the 2010 reform from the Volga–Urals and part of the Siberian districts, the largest district by territory and the one that holds the Urals arms industry — Nizhny Tagil's tank plant, the missile and ammunition works of the Volga — and the training areas the mobilisation of 2022 filled. Its peacetime armies, the 2nd Guards Combined Arms and the 41st, deployed to Ukraine's north-east and Donbas; the district has since been the administrative home of a large share of the mobilised and contract force and of the refineries and plants the Ukrainian deep-strike campaign reached in 2025–26.

- Industrial depth no other district approaches, a mobilisation base far from the front, and the Central Asian direction's only command.
- Limites
- Distance: its formations fight a thousand kilometres from their home stations, and its industrial base is now within reach of a campaign that struck Nizhnekamsk in August 2026. Structure below the armies is not authored.
