Ce qu’est ce système

Taiwan imports almost all of its primary energy by sea, with LNG the most time-critical component because it cannot be stored long; container shipping and the cables that land on the same coast run through the same waters. That dependence exists continuously, not only in a contingency.

The access layer the semiconductor cluster and the civilian economy rest on: cover, transit and the cables are read together because they fail together.

Vue d’ensemble
The system is the Taiwan Strait and the Bashi Channel, the East China Sea and Philippine Sea approaches, the ports of Kaohsiung, Keelung and Suao, and the outlying islands of Kinmen, Matsu and Penghu. The energy-imports record carries the dependence — a gas security-stockpile requirement stepping from 7 days in 2019 to 14 in 2027, with holdings above 11 days stated in March 2026, coal held against a 30-day floor, oil at 90 days with more than 100 reported — and the maritime-trade-and-cables record carries shipping, insurance and connectivity. The shipping-and-insurance chain reads what happens to transit when war-risk premia move; the import-dependence and cable chains read what happens to civilian life.
