- Historique notable
- The Emirates put its air force and its ground-based air defence into one service, which is the opposite of the Saudi arrangement and the reason the federation's missile defence is integrated by design rather than by agreement. The service flies a modern mixed fighter fleet — American F-16 Block 60s built to an Emirati specification, French Mirage 2000-9s and Rafales delivered through the 2020s — and owns the Patriot and THAAD batteries that make the federation the first foreign state to have used THAAD in combat, against Houthi missiles in January 2022. It has been the continuously engaged Gulf service since February 2026: of the more than six thousand seven hundred Iranian launches at the six Gulf states, roughly half were directed at the Emirates, and this service is the organisation that answered them. That is a statement about who was responsible, not about interception rates, which this module does not publish.
- Points forts
- Integration of air power and ground defence under one command, layered Western systems including the upper tier, and the most sustained real-world missile-defence engagement of any organisation in the module.
- Limites
- Geography gives it almost no depth: the federation is within reach of a very large number of Iranian systems, and the sheer volume directed at it is the constraint no equipment removes. The service's own accounts of its performance are positions. No bases, numbers, interception records or readiness are recorded.
