Historique notable: The 1st Corps held the central section of the line of contact through the long ceasefire — the Aghdam and Tartar sector, where the April 2016 fighting and the opening of the 2020 war took place — and since the September 2023 operation and the exodus that followed its sector includes the territory the former de facto authorities held.
