- Notable history
- Sweden acceded to NATO on 7 March 2024, ending roughly two centuries of non-alignment and closing the Baltic’s last non-allied coastline.

- Position. A Baltic without a non-aligned Sweden in the middle of it is a different sea, and Swedish accession changed the theatre’s geometry without a single unit moving.
