In brief
The naval service of the Romanian Armed Forces, whose own organisation page names two commands — the Fleet and the River Flotilla — a naval logistic base, and beneath them the frigate flotilla, the marine infantry regiment and the divizioane, groups and centres. The two commands, the flotilla and the regiment are authored; the divizioane are below this atlas’s floor.

- Broad area of activity
- Romania’s Black Sea coast, its lagoons and the Danube frontage: the Fleet for the sea and the River Flotilla for the river, on the service’s own division of responsibility.
- Notable history
- The service’s history pages date the modern navy from the union of the Wallachian and Moldavian river components into a Danube flotilla corps on 22 October 1860 and the creation of a Sea Division in 1896. The present shape is a 2006 settlement: on 1 May 2006 the Fleet Command was formed from the naval operational command and the frigate flotilla took its present name, and in 2015 the river service was raised again to a River Flotilla Command. The marine infantry battalion became a regiment on 1 June 2018.
- Strengths
- A complete published organisation, from command to divizion, in the service’s own words: the Fleet Command lists its subordinate formations, the River Flotilla states its subordination to the Naval Forces Staff, and each formation page gives lineage and mission. For a module concerned with the Black Sea and the Danube corridor, Romania’s is the one navy on the western shore whose structure the state itself publishes.
- Limitations
- The divizioane are named and refused as below the floor, and no vessel, base, station or readiness state is recorded anywhere in the branch; the record is the organisation, not its order of battle. The service’s organisation page carries no mission text of its own, so the service-level description here is assembled from its formation pages.
Subordinate formations
Rows are layout only — position and order carry no hierarchy, importance, sequence or strength. Every record shown is an immediate subordinate of the selected organisation.
