- 部分
- 廣泛活動地區
- The German Navy describes its usual operating waters as the Mediterranean. That is a published habit, not an assignment, and no current area is carried; its relevance to this module is the Black Sea approaches, which no source read assigns to it.
- 重要歷史
- Formed in 1992 as the Standing Naval Force Mediterranean, a generation after the Atlantic group, and renamed in 2005 when the standing forces took their present names. NATO describes the standing naval forces collectively as a continuous, credible and agile maritime capability that can be deployed rapidly in crisis.
- 優勢
- The same continuity as its northern twin: a formed multinational group under a rotating commander that exists without a decision to form it. Its habitual waters make it the standing force nearest the southern end of this theatre.
- 限制
- Typically a handful of destroyers or frigates and a supply ship on national tours. No source read assigns it any role in the Black Sea, and none is inferred from its habitual waters. Nothing about its current ships, commander or position is public on the pages read, and none of it would be recorded here.
