概要
One of NATO’s two standing mine countermeasures groups, published by Allied Maritime Command as under its control and continuously available. Established in 1973 as the Standing Naval Force Channel and renamed in 2005; the Norwegian Armed Forces describe its work as clearing historic mines and patrolling northern European waters. Mine countermeasures is the capability nearest the seabed-infrastructure question this module tracks, which is why the group is authored rather than deferred.

- 廣泛活動地區
- Northern European waters, in the Norwegian Armed Forces' description. That is a published habit, not an assignment, and no current area is carried.
- 重要歷史
- Established in Belgium on 11 May 1973 as the Standing Naval Force Channel, renamed more than once and given its present name in 2005. The Norwegian Armed Forces state that it is led by SACEUR with day-to-day direction delegated to the maritime command at Northwood, and that its routine work is removing sea mines left by earlier conflicts, patrolling to show NATO presence and monitoring ship traffic for situational awareness in NATO's areas of interest.
- 優勢
- It is the standing force whose ordinary trade — working the seabed and the water column above it — is the one nearest to the undersea infrastructure question that Baltic Sentry exists for. A formed multinational mine countermeasures group that is at sea anyway is the alliance's readiest instrument for looking at a seabed.
- 限制
- A few mine countermeasures vessels and a command-and-support ship on national tours. Its published tasks are historic ordnance, presence and monitoring; no source read assigns it a seabed-infrastructure mission, and Vigil does not infer one from proximity of trade. Nothing about its current ships, commander or position is public on the pages read, and none of it would be recorded here.
