- 廣泛活動地區
- Bodø, Norway. NATO says it covers airspace across the Nordic region and the Arctic, and that the areas of the three centres overlap to provide redundancy; no boundary is published.
- 重要歷史
- NATO's structure page dates its opening to October 2025, making it the third combined air operations centre after Uedem and Torrejón and the first added since the command structure was consolidated. It exists because Finnish and Swedish accession put the whole Nordic airspace inside the alliance and gave the air command a northern region to control as one, and NATO's Air Policing page now lists it beside the two older centres with its own area.
- 優勢
- It gives the northern half of this theatre a NATO air command-and- control node of its own, in Norway, and NATO states that its overlap with the other centres is the redundancy that keeps air command and control continuous. Bodø is where the air picture over the Nordic region and the Arctic is now assembled.
- 限制
- Less than a year old at the time of review. NATO describes the centres' role as command and control of Air Policing and says the relevant centre decides which base an interception flies from, but framework nations state that national command of the aircraft is retained; Vigil records that at the strength the sources use. Its own site is closed to tools.
