- 部分
- 廣泛活動地區
- Belarus; the staff's published remit is the whole armed forces and their interaction with the other forces of the state.
- 重要歷史
- The ministry dates the staff to 21 December 2001, when the 2001 reform separated the ministry's political-administrative functions from a General Staff "intended to implement operational functions in managing the Armed Forces", to ensure their combat capability and to organise the interaction of the state's military organisation. Its chief holds the post of First Deputy Minister of Defence; a deputy chief heads the Main Operational Directorate, whose published tasks run from strategic defence planning and the operational equipment of territory to force-development planning and international military cooperation. The Directorate of Territorial Defence sits within it, which is why the territorial troops are a General Staff matter rather than a service's.
- 優勢
- A published, stable institutional position at the top of a small force, and the organ through which every joint exercise with Russia is planned on the Belarusian side.
- 限制
- Everything beyond the published skeleton is assessed-grade: the monitoring read records command churn at senior level in 2026 but the staff's internal workings, its real weight against the ministry and the Russian side, and its post-holders are not authored here.
