- Historique notable
- Built after the second Chechen war on the "Chechenisation" bargain by which Moscow handed the republic's security to Akhmad Kadyrov and, after his 2004 assassination, to his son Ramzan: former fighters were absorbed into republican police and interior formations that answered in law to federal ministries and in practice to Grozny. When the National Guard was created in 2016 the Chechen regiments passed into Rosgvardia without changing that loyalty. The 2022 invasion of Ukraine gave the system a new export — the Akhmat-branded volunteer and special-purpose units the Ukraine–Russia atlas files under their own umbrella — and a new prominence for its leader. The module's standing question is what happens to a personal security system when the person is gone: Kadyrov's health has been the subject of sustained reporting, his son has been advanced into senior posts, and in September 2026 he stood for a fifth term. None of that is a succession, and the structures' behaviour under one is the thing nobody has observed.

Après l’assassinat d’Akhmat Kadyrov en 2004, le pouvoir passe par étapes à son fils : Ramzan Kadyrov devient président de la Tchétchénie en 2007, à l’âge légal minimum, tandis que ses structures de sécurité absorbent ou éliminent les rivaux. La Tchétchénie est reconstruite avec de l’argent fédéral sous un ordre personnalisé, loyal directement à Poutine.
