What happened

Four multinational battlegroups are deployed and fully operational in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Allies also increase activity in the south-east through a tailored presence on land, at sea and in the air, to enhance situational awareness, interoperability and responsiveness.

This is the point at which forward presence stops being a decision and becomes a standing fact on the ground. The four formations it created are four of the nine this module carries, and their framework nations — the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and the United States — are still the framework nations today.
