使用方
Malian Armed Forces (FAMa): Shown among Russian-delivered vehicles in Malian defence-ministry material from 2023; earlier holdings dated from the Soviet period. No count recorded. · Ukraine: Soviet-legacy vehicles in service since 2014; visually documented losses throughout the full-scale war. · Russia: Widely fielded in reconnaissance and rear-area roles.
戰場角色
In Ukraine, a reconnaissance and rear-area vehicle on both sides, with losses visually documented since 2014. In Mali, part of the Russian-delivered packages that re-equipped FAMa's mobile columns from 2023. Sixty years on, refurbished stock still soldiers on because it exists in numbers, not because it excels.
優勢
Light, amphibious and fast on roads, with a small turret carrying a heavy machine gun; simple to maintain and cheap to refurbish from storage, which is why it keeps reappearing in delivery packages.
限制
Protection against rifle fire only; no mine protection worth the name, a serious weakness on the IED-laced roads of central Mali; obsolete optics. In Ukraine it is documented mostly as a loss rather than as a capability.
外觀識別
A low, boat-shaped four-wheeled hull with a small conical turret and no side doors; the pointed bow and the belly-mounted auxiliary wheels distinguish it from the larger eight-wheeled BTR series.
