- Istotna historia
- Formed in Algiers on 14 June 2014 as the loyalist counterpart to the separatist CMA, the Platform brought together GATIA, the Imghad Tuareg movement founded that year under General El Hadj Ag Gamou, the loyalist wing of the Arab Movement of Azawad, and the CMFPR coalition of Songhai self-defence groups. It signed the 2015 Algiers Agreement on the government's side and fought the CMA for Kidal and Anéfis through 2014 and the summer of 2015, until local pacts signed at Anéfis in October 2015 produced a détente. The agreement's non-implementation dissolved the coalition's purpose: from 2017 factions split off to join the CMA, in 2021 parts of GATIA entered the CSP framework beside the movements they had fought, and Ag Gamou himself was later appointed governor of Kidal by the government. The intra-Tuareg (Imghad–Ifoghas) rivalry the Platform embodied is the reason the northern question was never a simple separatist-versus-state line.
