• Reporting of 11 September 2026 raised the direction question directly and did not settle it. United States officials were reported to believe that hundreds of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers are in Yemen, and five Yemeni government military sources attributed the Red Sea coastal campaign to IRGC direction, citing intercepted communications and captured prisoners and naming a senior commander. Those are a belligerent government's sources and an allied government's assessment, not independently established facts; Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said on 10 September that the movement "takes orders from no one". The record grades the direction question as unestablished and has moved no closer to resolving it.
• What material support, if any, is currently being provided has not been established from any source read. `status-uncertain` records that directly.
