Typical employment

Column movement over long distances in small groups, dispersing on contact. The pattern is consistent across every side in the Sahel because the terrain imposes it rather than because anyone chose it: in the northern desert, vehicles can leave the road almost anywhere but nothing local sustains them, so range is set by what a column carries. Technicals carry fuel, water, people and firepower in the same vehicle, which is why they dominate desert engagements from the 2012 rebellion to Anéfis in 2026. Used in raiding and escort rather than in holding ground, and paired with motorcycles for reconnaissance and dispersal.
