- تاريخ بارز
- The navy has enforced the maritime closure of the Gaza Strip since 2007, intercepting civilian flotillas that sought to break it, among them the Mavi Marmara in May 2010. Since the 2010s it has protected the offshore gas fields, which Hezbollah threatened with unarmed drones launched towards Karish in July 2022, and on 7 October 2023 it engaged Hamas naval commandos landing on the coast near Zikim.
