使用方
Malian Armed Forces (FAMa): Long in service; among the heaviest indirect fire the state fields. No count recorded. · Ukraine: A core towed-artillery type throughout the war, sustained by allied ammunition supply. · Russia: Fielded alongside newer self-propelled systems.
戰場角色
In Ukraine, a baseline towed howitzer of the artillery war — simple to crew and fed by whichever 122mm stocks allies can source. In Mali, among the heaviest indirect fire the state fields, used from garrison hubs. The same gun serves industrial attrition in one war and hub defence in the other.
優勢
A three-trail carriage that traverses a full circle without moving the gun, a weight light enough to be towed by a truck or slung under a helicopter, and ammunition produced in many countries — which is what has kept Ukrainian batteries supplied.
限制
Short range by modern standards and a towed gun's slow displacement, which the drone-directed counter-battery war in Ukraine punishes; in Mali the constraint is different — few guns, and a supply chain for 122 mm ammunition that runs through Russia.
外觀識別
A short-barrelled gun with a large double-baffle muzzle brake on a distinctive three-trail carriage that folds into a triangle; the barrel is towed pointing backward over the closed trails.
有文件記錄的衝突使用
UKRAINE–RUSSIA. Documented in Ukrainian service across the whole war and in Russian service beside self-propelled types; losses on both sides visually documented. Ukraine's 122 mm supply from allied Soviet-era stocks and new foreign production is a recurring subject of the allied ammunition coalitions. SAHEL. Long-standing Malian holdings reported at garrison hubs; no employment in a named engagement is documented from open sources.
