- Qatar's military is small by any measure and has grown fast by every measure: a decade of procurement since the 2017 blockade by its neighbours built an air force of three modern fighter types and a navy of new Italian-built ships, on the reasoning that a state that had just been isolated by its own allies could not rely on them for defence. Its security nonetheless rests on hosting: Al Udeid air base is the forward headquarters of United States Central Command and of its air component, which makes Qatar a host of the American war rather than a party to it. The state was among the six attacked from February 2026, and the strikes on Ras Laffan in March are the module's Qatari chronology. Nothing this module has read establishes what the Qatari forces did in the war.
